Physics 1B03- Will I get in?
As of now, I'm signed up for math 1B03 second term and I'm really hoping to drop that and enroll in physics 1B03 instead. Is it likely that a spot will open up?

It's somewhat difficult. There's 3 cores in 2nd term, but a lot of ppl from 1st and 2nd year take the course since it's required . However if it's a required course you can send an email to the academic advisor asking them to open a spot for you.

Aw, I really hope a spot opens up! Right now I'm signed up for Physics 1L03 first term so it will meet my physics requirement for first year so I don't think they'd be willing to open up a spot... I was really hoping to take 1B03 second term as well though :( Should've signed up earlier... stupid me!

You have until January 21st to add Physics 1B03 to your schedule. I don't know if it's possible but anyone who fails 1L03 can't take 1B03. But like I said, I don't know if anyone actually fails that course...

I was in a similar situation, where I had phys 1L03 in second term and I wanted to switch it to phys 1B03. In November, I went to go see an academic advisor, who first tried to convince me I'd be better off in 1L03, then when I insisted I'm not physics challenged and would much rather take 1B03 so I don't have to in 2nd year, she wouldn't open up a spot for me, and instead told me to wait until December/January, because people would be taking 1L03 first term and fail it, and thus have to drop 1B03 second term. I ended up getting lucky on SOLAR in early December, at around 3am
