Physio Courses
Can anyone suggest what they found to be the most interesting/easy physio course. I heard that Bio 3UU3 was fairly easy but I see a lot of mixed reviews. Bio 3U03 doesn't look so appealing cause of the killer lab component, but between those, 3MM3 and 3XL3, what would you suggest as an elective. Thanks!

I would say that 3UU3 is relatively easy compared to the other physiology courses. There are a lot of readings and the lectures can get quite boring, but the questions on the midterm and exam are very straight forward. 3XL3 also has a difficult lab component and focuses much more on animal physiology than human physiology. If you are just looking for a simple elective, then I would say take 3UU3. 3U03 and 3XL3 are very intersting, but they have high workloads.

R633, do you think 3U03 is similar to 2A03 Bio? Sorry for post-jacking

3U03 builds upon the concepts covered in 2A03 in more detail and the labs are more intensive. If you liked 2A03, you should like 3U03 as well.

Thanks a lot! Does anyone have any comments on 3MM3?

Definitely 3UU3 over 3U03. It's a little messy in terms of what you have to study and whatnot, but after the first quiz, you get the hang of his style of questions. Haven't taken the other courses, so I can't comment about those. Sorry!

I'm thinking of taking Bio 3AA3 at the same time as Bio 3UU3. Do you think the courseload would be really heavy?

No. The workload in 3AA3 is slightly heavier than 3UU3 because there are tutorial assignments due weekly along with a presentation and an essay at the end of the course. All the assignmetns are straight forward and the essay and presentation are done in groups so the course is very manageable. Both courses can easily be accommodated together in the same semester.

It's probably because there are so many diverse courses :(. I kind of wish there were some reviews for all of Dr. Day's courses.
