piercings and professionalism
would a cartilage piercing be considered "unprofessional" for an office setting?
ive been thinking about getting one recently but not sure if i should...

If anything, you could ask your future employer if that would be okay & if not can you not just wear them then? :o

it depends where. ears? that's cartilage and that's not unprofessional anymore.

An office setting still varies greatly depending on the industry. Public accounting firms are on the stricter side of professional appearance, and while I was an intern, no one had a cartilage piercing. That being said, I think you could always wear something conservative (small stud) or take it out when you're at work. I think for the most part you'll be fine, especially if you have long hair and can cover it.

well im not asking about just ANY place, im asking about a professional setting. different places have different expectations

I've worked in multiple professional offices and nobody has ever had an issue with my upper ear cartilage piercing (or my tattoo for that matter). Just make sure the jewelry you're wearing at work/to interviews is professional looking (no neon colours or spikes) and you should be good to go.
