Please don't go on strike this year, Mac.
Just noticed that Mohawk College’s unionized support staff went on strike last night, and I recalled the three (or was it four? I lost count..) strikes that happened in just the past 2 years I've been at McMaster.
Just ridiculous. Asdfkdfhgdjkh. STOPPIT MAC! BEHAVE!

Thanks for jinxing the entire McMaster population.

Maybe that was my intention :o
The TA strike totally gave me more time to get stuff done.
The food strike made me go eat cheaper (healthier) food.
Come at me, Mac. Let the fun begin...

Lawn maintenence? And are RAs different from TAs, because TAs had their strike but RAs haven't.

If the restaurants workers decided to strike again let's just fired them and hire Mexican workes. They are cheap and will do anything do get a shot at the Canadian dream.

Actually, two summers ago I took a class with a sessional prof and she said that they (the sessionals profs) were most likely going to go on strike. But they never did. Unkess they DID but it was resolved before the school year. Hmm... quandary.

This whole business of continuous strikes at universities just seems ridiculous and completely unprofessional. It feels like a never ending circle, and when I was doing my undergrad it was such a worrisome burden. I don't know if this works because of the area, but Mac should do what U of T staff do, we wait until York or Ryerson goes on strike, get their raise/benifits, then go to U of T admins saying "uhh... we want what they got "

The 'other' side has had enough strikes. I think it's time we had a strike on increased tuition and overcrowding. Not to mention a million other reasons.
