I'm not 100% sure but I think Dr. Fast taught both sections of this course last year, day Term 1 and night Term 2 but there may have been more sections with Dr. Wood who I know teaches the night one this term and Dr. Fast teaches the day one next term.
In any case I would guess that the mid-terms would be the same (they may not be). When I took it with Dr. Fast last year it was all multiple choice and I found them to be quite easy. If you do the readings and review them and have attended the lectures and review your notes you should do well. Some people did find the mid-terms to be hard but I think it depends if you're good with multiple choice tests or not, some people are not. I felt comfortable with them and did well on them, the listening examples were the big things I expected them to be so I found those to be good too.
I'm not sure if this professor is using the same type of mid-term though.
Hopefully someone who may have had this professor in the past can answer, I really don't know if he taught a section of this course last year though. There are only two sections of it this year so I doubt there were more last year and as I said Dr. Fast taught both.
