Are we allowed to bring large posters to decorate our walls? Do we have to buy some special thing to hang them on the walls? I'm guessing they don't allow tic tacs.

Yes, you can bring posters.
They used to provide some stickies that are wall-friendly, but you can use anything that doesn't ruin the walls.
Tic tacs are breath mints So I don't think that's what you meant?

Haha yes a thumbtack makes more sense
Yes, it's not a good idea to put any holes in the walls. And if you're using anything sticky, just make sure it won't peel the paint/drywall layer off.
If they still provide the little stickies then use those - when I was in res they gave us a couple of sheets when we moved in, and then you could go to the Commons building and get more if you needed them.

You'll get a bunch of stickies at move-in and if you need more, you can always ask your CA (community advisor) on your floor or in your building, or go to the service desk in Keyes or Commons to get more stickies. I don't recommend using anything else, just in case it peels off the paint. You never know.
