Prerequisites for physics 1B03
I plan to take physics 1B03 in my first year, but I currently don't have grade 12 physics.
The options are I either take physics 12 during this summer through secondary summer school
OR take physics 1L03 term 1 and take 1B03 on term 2
Both have pros and cons and I have been struggling to make decisions for months. I always become very timid when it comes to making decisions. I'm not asking you to make the decision for me but any small suggestions or advice would be very helpful. Thank you so much in advance.

pros and cons I have thought up are
1) summer school might not go into very details of the topics in physics
2) I have to send the marks to mcmaster, drop/add courses when i get the credit, etc, things that might become complicated
3) I heard physics 1L03 is just waste of money and time and doesn't prepare you much for IB03?

I'm sorry if I have irritated you in any way.. I know this is not such a big thing but I have no one I can ask for advices since I don't know anybody who had any experience in universities ;(

I would say take 1L03 and enjoy ur summer before starting university. You can take physics 1b03 in the summer of '12. Physics 1L03 though not very useful but is easy and should help u boost ur marks.

However, if you have no job, nothing to do but sitting on sofa. I would recommend taking physics 12. this way you can skip 1l03.

I personally would take summer school grade 12 physics. That way you have an extra elective!

I took 12U Physics the summer before first year to avoid taking 1L03.

I took it online, barely did any work and ended up saving 600 bucks, pretty good idea imo.

Besides, 1L03 will not prepare you for the only hard part of 1B03 (the questions and structure of the tests).

If you're scared that summer school won't go into detail, I found that 1B03 also went over some of the Grade 12 Physics material. There's also always help available if you ever need it (I'm pretty sure there's always a physics tutor in the basement of Thode)

summer--physics 1l03 is a waste of time...or if you want to enjoy your summer before university, take physics 1b03 in second year?
