Presidential Ballot Count Postponed
Presidential Ballot Count Postponed
And we were all getting our hopes up for knowing the winner today! What a bummer!
MacInsiders has learned that the final ballot count has been postponed to Saturday. If they do finish counting on Saturday, we should know the results by Saturday night.
Either way, MacInsiders will be sure to be the first to let you know!
Update from MSU website:
"To preserve the integrity of the electoral process, the Elections Committee has deferred the counting of ballots due to extenuating circumstances, to Saturday February 9 at 12:00pm. It has been scheduled for this date due to the fact that a quorate Elections Committee meeting cannot be obtained until this time as per Bylaw 10, Section 9.3.1: "The ballots cast by electors shall be counted and the results posted within twenty-four hours of the close of the polls. If, as a result of extenuating circumstances this is not possible, the CRO shall extend the period to such time as a quorate Election Committee meeting can be held."
