Prof. Hoppe. F : Stats 3Y03
I'm torn between doing 3Y03 in term on or two?
If I do it in term two: I get A. Childs, who i had in first year. And he is out of the WORLD!
However, if i take this course in term one: I get Hoppe.F--> who i have no idea about?
In general, would i be better to take Stats in term 1 or 2?
(Btw im in chem eng: Level 2)

Hey!
I read that Dr. Hoppe apparently is a really bad lecturer (in the course review for Stats 3y03) so it would be a safe bet to just take it in term 2 with Dr. Childs as he's obviously amazing

Obv. term 2. If Childs is an option, you take it. Plus, if you take it in term 2, you'll be in my class. =p

Take it with Childs.
Hoppe is a terrible prof. His lectures and notes are completely useless. If you have him, your best bet is to learn from the textbook and do as many practice problems as possible.
I had Hoppe for stats. At the start of the term, the BSB 147 lecture hall was full.... a few weeks into the term no more than 20 people showing up to lecture.

I wouldn't be taking 3y03 this year if it was only Hoppe teaching... yay Childs!

I had Hoppe for STATS 3PG3 last year. He likes to go at his own pace which isn't a bad thing but he's super smart and if you can't keep up then he'll leave you behind... way behind...

I really really hope everyone in Elec and Biomed III doesn't get screwed over by the Chem 2E03 and Stats 3Y03 conflict in first term. Mac says they're trying to fix it but I hope they don't force us to take it second term, meaning we have 5 courses first term and 7 second term. 6 is bad enough, 7 is death.

I am pretty sure you cant take 7 courses in one term because for electrical engineers it will cross over 21 units per term limit.
