Probably, talk to academic advisors.

My friend did change her program last year at around the same time. Try as long as you have the average and they have seats u should be fine.

I know someone who was able to change it later on in the summer (July-ish?) and it was fine. But I would contact the academic advisors first to see if there's still space and such.

I was in med rad during my first year as well, i switched out in late august and had no trouble. The only bad thing was the med rad courses are so limiting that in second year i had to take a lot of first year courses since I had no space for them with my med rad courses. So basically you'll be taking all first year courses such as chem and bio and physics since all those are required for all the 2 year specializations.

Jamalf and OP, why are you both switching out of med rad? Asking because I just switched in...

I switched out last year, the summer after my first year. There's nothing wrong with the program itself, it just wasn't for me. The program was too specific for me as it leads mainly to just xray/ ultrasound/ radiation therapist technologist. At the end of first year I was having doubts, I wasn't sure that's what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, so I switched out into a more general program with more options.

Also if you are switching into it, stay away from the radiation therapy stream. My sister graduated from that 2 years ago and has yet to find a job in her field.
