hey, so i won't be much help because i haven't taken it (but i want to) but just FYI prior to this year, it was a third year course (3N03) so if you look that up on course reviews i'm sure you'll find something

crys.eg says thanks to neila.b for this post.

I'm going to be taking this class this coming year but here's an outline:

From what I hear, it's an interesting class but Dr. Day's MC tests can be hard.

The tests are hard but he posts all of these practice questions that are identical to the questions on the test. Mind you there's over 500 lol but if you do those you should be alright. I'm taking it too!

So he posts 500 questions, and of those 500 questions X many are on the test? The exact ones. Word for word?

And is that 500 per test/exam... or 500 in total? LOL

It's a test databank basically. So yes, there may be 500 questions in total but the midterms consist only of 40 questions each (2 midterms total).

10% of the questions (8-10 questions) come derived from the textbook readings (simple enough...you might think, but not often the case)

the remaining 80% of the questions come from the test bank, and yes - these are taken word for word.

So, theoretically, if you really only cared to go through class notes and the online testbank, you could get 80% on the midterms without reading the textbook.

The textbook readings are brutally long, and for me this was the hardest part of the course.

The course itself, however, is extremely interesting.

It's full already! :( Did anyone take personality? I'm assuming a similar format?

personality is identical format - it can get boring at times, but nonetheless overall it was a great course.

I am sure it is only full because there has only been 3rd & 4th year picking.

2nd years start picking tnightt. SO... it should open up/not open up dependin on how many 2nd years take the class.

I say that it will open up, because I am pretty sure they can't fully open a 2nd year class until second years can pick.... does that make sence?

Yeah that's what I was thinking.. probably the same goes for life sci 2F03.. since it appears to be full too..or any full 2nd year /1st yr course for that matter.

If I take it second term, it's going to conflict with a Math tutorial, and the only other math tutorial is during another class. Great. Who doesn't love a healthy conflict?

I'm second year and it was full for both terms and I need second term when I managed to log in which was only a bit after the opening time. Ugh I'm mad even my substitute course is full. So now I either have to find another course that's totally un-psych related to take or I'm going to have to figure out how to get in or wait until someone drops.
