i took both, however i did not take stats 1cc3 so i can't compare. however, from what i've heard about stats 1cc3, it is much more theoretical and the psych stats is much more applied. we didn't just learn the formulas and methods, we had to understand the steps behind it and be able to apply it to word problems with multiple choice answers (which all the midterms and tests consisted of). i have to say that the tests were very tricky, but the prof is still dr. shedden, she is awesome. she always goes at the classes' pace and she even pushed some material we were supposed to do in first term over to second just to make sure we had more time to build a strong foundation. lots of extra help is provided, including practice questions for midterms and exams, which were very helpful in demonstrating the types of questions to be asked, since they are a lot different than a typical stats course. if you took stats 1cc3, then you probably covered some of the things that psych 2ra3 covers. you'll just be looking at it in a more practical way.
