I did not take the course myself, but I know of some people who did, so this is a sort of disclaimer that my comments will be basically just hearsay (not 100% reliable).
The greatest setback is that Dr Faure's lecture style is not what most people are used to, even at university. He believes that by the time we are in university, we should be able to properly take notes, or in other words, not rely so heavily off of pre-posted lecture notes. Consequently, he does not post notes (well, he posts lecture outlines), nor does he allow recording. However, apparently, many find it difficult to take notes of the right stuff at the right time (I think he's one of those profs that doesn't like when you take notes while he's still explaining...?), so the course sometimes comes off as difficult.
Another thing to watch out for is that there is some element of physics in the course. To what extent, I'm not certain. Hopefully, someone else who has actually taken the course can be more helpful :S...
