Psych 3AP3
Can anyone provide a course review on psych 3AP3 - Measuring Behaviour? I'm debating between this course and Psych 3T03. Any feedback is appreciated!

3AP3 was one of the best courses I have taken at Mac. This last year was the fist year it was offered.

The course offered a small class size and information that was actually worth while. This was the first course I have taken to explain HOW to actually measure animal behaviour. We learned about physiology of lab mice. research design, computerized assessment, sickness behaviour and the basics like reliable/valid scientific work. It was because of this course I was even considered for a thesis position.

Dr. Boris Sakic teaches this course and he is the most dedicated professor I have ever met. He treats his students as future scientists and clinicians and tries to pass on as much knowledge as possible. He is really nice and funny, plus has a lot of experience. He has high expectations for his students but they are completely attainable.

The course was structured so that we had two hours of class material once a week and a tutorial on Fridays. Each week we played "Jeopardy" and reviewed the previous week's content. The questions we got right contributed to bonus marks. We had no midterm and the final exam only covered key slides which he indicated throughout the course. Attendance was mandatory and contributed to our final grade. We also had to write an essay based on a scientific paper. Dr. Sakic provided us with individual feedback so we could all get the best mark possible. 12s were within reach for most (if not all) students that put in some effort and took his feedback seriously.

Honestly a great class!
