Psych 3cd3

I took PSYCH 3CD3, Intergroup Relations, in Winter 2014 with Dr. Ostovich. The course discusses relations between individuals and groups and discusses topics such as racism and genocide.

Lectures: Ostovich lectures extremely well. She is organized and goes at a decent pace. It is important to note very carefully all concepts from the studies she discusses in class, because these will be tested thoroughly. Being absent is not an option here!

Textbook: The textbook is dry and boring. There are walls of text, barely in paragraphs, with no pictures or diagrams at all.

Testing: Ostovich writes some of the most difficult tests you will encounter in your time at university. The tests were fair, with the exception of the final which was extremely pressed for time. She leaves little time to second guess your answers, so when you enter a test you must know and respond immediately.

Overall, this is a good course with some interesting psych and it is possible to do well. That being said, this is NOT a bird course, and acquiring a 12 in an Ostovich course is beyond difficult.
