Psych Quiz on Avenue to Learn
So I decided to log in to Avenue to Learn to get started on that Science 1A00 course when I noticed there was an unattempted quiz under my psych course. The quiz is titled "Would you like to participate?" and when I attempted it, I could only get to one question, asking me if I'd like to participate and see my progress when I complete a "succesful achievement" :S Has anyone else taken this quiz? Is it supposed to be one question? And should I wait til classes start to continue this quiz?

I think they're just testing out the system now.
One of my profs has started uploading stuff for his course.
It includes lines of nonsensical letter combinations and random links to the Mac homepage. Just work on Sci 1A00 for now and worry about the course work when school starts.

I logged on randomly and found the quiz as well. There was only one question, just as you said. I was a little bit confused about it as well haha.

There are no marks. It's a course on its own and is worth 0 credits.

yeah like jeremy said its a course on its own, and you need to get atleast 12/14 before you are allowed to go into labs that require the course as a pre/corequisite. As far as the mark is concerned, it's just a pass/fail thing that determines whther you can start going to labs or not. Dont think it affects your gpa, if thats what you're worried about. Besides, you can do as many quizzes as you want and the current grade is your highest, so 14/14 is definitely possible. |

loll actually i wouldnt mind writing whatever comes out of my mind wonder if posting one now scores brownie points with the prof...

Hey speaking of Psych though, even though it is labelled as a Core, all we have is 1 tutorial a week. But we're not supposed to go to tutorials before the first lecture. But do we go to the first psych tutorial? |

what do you mean one tutorial a week? arent they lectures? the thing is that theyre in a computer lab and we watch the lectures online, but other than that, i'm pretty sure we're suppoed to go to the first class :S
can someone else confirm this? |

In my year both first year psychs you watch the lecture online before going to tutorial and at the tutorial you review the material and get a short quiz every week.
I believe that last year the second one 1XX3 Dr. Kim was doing live lectures but not positive.
anyways it should be similar in makeup as 2 yrs ago I would think.
