What are some public locations that offer free wifi, and without any download limits? Preferably fast speeds also.

I've heard that McDonalds has a 50mb limit.

Well you could try Williams or a not-so-popular section of campus and just connect to macsecure. Download speeds will obviously vary depending on the amount of people using the network but the campus' internet is extraordinary.

Anyone know of any places? And by public, I mean not on campus. (i.e. any member of the public can access it)

you wont get university library speeds pretty much anywhere, but the library has average speeds when i went (<1 mb/s)

I dont think there is anywhere that exists that offers fast speed, unlimited data for free (not even the uni, since technically you pay for it) otherwise no one would have a reason to get home internet

I know there are Cogeco and Rogers wifi hotspots all over hamilton, but im not too sure what you need to sign in, or if there are download limits. Check their websites though if you subscribe to one of their services.
