Question
This is just a random question but I was just wondering how many "seats" are available in each engineering program in second year?!?! Like is there an average amount of seats for each program?

Thanks

Depends on demand, but a 8 or 9 average will pretty much guarantee (though crazy things happen sometimes) admission into any of them.

I think something like Eng Phys (usual cutoff has been 4.0 ish for a few years) would have less than Civil, or another popular program, but it depends. I know some Biology specs have only 30 or so, whereas others have into the 100s...

Maybe ask Sally Williams?

The best guess known cut offs last year were

Eng phys =4 (so just passing year 1)
Chem Eng= 4
Elec= 4
Software= 4
Tron =5 ish
Mech= High 6
Civil=High 6
Elec and Bio=High 6
Management=High 6
Chem Bio= High 5
Society=4

What you end up in is all based on demand for that particular stream. The bios are 25 a piece and tron is 50 I believe in terms of numbers. The rest are relatively large to the best of my knowledge, so upwards of 100 in size. If you have an 8 or up average you will pretty much get what you want, but once again its all based on demand.
