Question for anyone who takes GO
In order to get to another school next year, I need to take these two steps:

- GO Bus or GO Train to Oakville GO Station
- GO Train from Oakville to Port Credit GO Station in Mississauga

Does anyone know how long that would take? I checked the GO website but I can't figure out their schedules. Is it about an hour? 2 hours?

I'll need to do this every morning and every night, so I'm really curious how long it's going to take me. Thanks!

So you need to take the bus/train from somewhere to Oakville, then from Oakville to Port Credit?

Where are you starting initially?

The GO website is pretty useless. Nothing is explained properly.

Seriously, your best bet is to call the GO people themselves and wait for an operator to pick up (or if you have no patience, stab the 0 button on your phone like I do)

416- 869- 3200

They'll tell you how long it would take.

Best of luck

assuming you're starting in hamilton, it would probably take you about an hour. it takes me about an 80 min to get from the mcmaster stop to mimico(past port credit), so even if you are starting from hamilton GO it shouldn't take more than that.

edit: unless there is some reason you specifically need to catch the train in oakville...

Oops, sorry if I wasn't very clear.

I'm starting from Hamilton, and I need to take the GO to get to Sheridan College in Brampton.

There are other directions after getting off the GO in Mississauga, but that's all local bus transit stuff.

So I don't need to get off in Oakville? I can just take GO from Hamilton straight to Port Credit?
I got the directions right off the Sheridan website, so I don't know how accurate they are.

Gimme a minute and I'll figure out the schedules.

You need to take the 15. It leaves at Mac, you transfer at Aldershot and you get off at Port Credit.

It might be easier to take go bus to square one and take a city bus to the college. square one is where all the city buses come so im sure one goes to the college.

Just go to google maps type in directions from square one to sheridan brampton campus, then click on the bus icon. You can even type in directions from Hamilton Go to Sheridan Brampton campus and click on the bus icon. Its about 2 hours...

well you can take the bus from hamilton to aldershot, get on the train there, which will take you to port credit(except some rush hour ones which skip it). it wouldn't really make sense to take a bus to oakville when you can get on the train at aldershot.

It seems it will take over an hour of local transit on top of the GO ride.. so I'm regretting this decision now.

Thanks for all the replies though!!

Use Google Maps Transit feature. Very effective.

I think she was referring to maybe local transit in Hamilton? Like to get to the Hamilton Go it might take another 30 min.
