'cause iw anna try and get a 7.0 so i can take 6 classes/term for 3rd yr.

I was told that summer courses don't count towards your sessional average. So it won't count towards 2nd or 3rd year. Just your cGPA. Can someone confirm that though?

Consider it confirmed. Summer marks count only for cGPA, they're a sessional average in and of themselves.

what? i don't get it. ._.
so if i get a 7.0 in summer school then that's what my average is going into 3rd year?
...what >_<
when they say you need a 7.0 avg to take 6courses/term, they mean cgpa, right? so summer school would count towards that?
shit im confused.

Same, and I would probably tell them even if they weren't paying.
I'm assuming if you're debating it than you may not have done as well as you feel your parents would have liked. In that case my advice would be to discuss it with them, tell them why you feel you got lower marks.

Same as Kevin. I'm telling them. Think of it this way, if you're doing well, you'll get praise and motivation to keep going. If you're not doing too well, you'll get encouragement to keep trying and improving. That's how I see it anyway.

I don't think that's what it means. I think Summer term is a session all by itself so whatever mark you get in Summer school would be its own sessional average.
In considering whether you should be allowed to take 6 courses per term next year though I would imagine they would look at your sessional average for 2nd year, not the Summer term. It would only make sense that they would consider the average you got taking a full course load and not just base the decision on one course.
