I'm not sure but I think taking it in the summer may put you at a disadvantage. I recall hearing that last year's average for those courses was around the 80s (hence why they're considered 'fairly easy') and will help boost your average to get into the competitive programs.

but then again, not having to spend alot of time on these time consuming courses during the school year would probably allow your other grades to go up...

I just want to make sure not having these two courses graded wont screw me over...like if theres a program that requires a 60% or above in IC03 and 1P03 and all I have is a "pass" lol

If these courses were prerequisites to anything, I highly doubt you'd be allowed to take them as "advanced credits." I think these courses are kinda like civics and careers, where you need to take them for your diploma and will never have to take them again.

I've read on the LEAP program and someone from mac called me to see if I had any questions. I asked him if we need a teachers recommendation or send in our transcript and he said we dont, you just have to send in the registeration form. Is this true?

Not true according to the LEAP website.

Apperently we need a teachers recommendation letter (no more than one page), the teacher recommendation form, the registration form, our transcript, AND our own personal letter on why we feel we should go to LEAP.

Im fine with all of that, but I was a little confused as to how its all supposed to be sent. It says the teacher recommendations should be sent by the teacher, but if we send it with our own personal fax machine, who's gonna know?

It would also seem to make sense that we send everything together, so that they dont have recommendation forms and registration forms all coming in for the same people at different times from both teachers and student :S

Either way, I plan on having it all worked out and having all my stuff sent in by the end of this week. Apperently the choice in modules is first-come-first-serve, and I really want to do the robotics and mechatronics one.

Well, I have officially sent in my application for LEAP. I just have to hope my teacher has sent in her recommendation properly

I applied for both Robotics modules...should be fun...I just hope they aren't filled up already. Maybe I will see some of you there!
