Receiving Mail
I want to order something from online, but I need to know one thing. What address do I tell them to send it to? I live in Hedden hall if that helps. If there is anything else I should know about ordering things online, please feel free to help me.
Thanks in advance.

Do you have the residence handbook you got?

The address you need is in there. It is basically the University address but you need your name, room #, mailbox # or something. I forget how it's formatted.

Its in the residence handbook though.

ETA: I found it, yay for Facebook notes. I found a note from first year telling my friends my residence address for mail:

Name
Hedden Hall, Room #
Box #
McMaster University
1280 Main Street West
Hamilton, ON
L8S 4M6 (this is different for each building but this is the one for Hedden since I lived in Hedden first year)

Hey guys sorry to resurrect this but what is the postal code for McKay Hall?
And what if the package is bigger than the tiny mailbox?
(I'm thinking of ordering some computer parts)

Check the housing website, under building info....it should be there

EDIT: Big packages can be delivered to rez (I've had packages sent to my rez mailbox/address, they just end up at the housing service center (Commons/Keyes) depending where your rez is....you need to show ID to pick up your package!

Juicebox says thanks to marieeeeeee for this post.

In case you don't know where the website is: http://housing.mcmaster.ca/Residence...ngs/mckay.html

If the package doesn't fit in the tiny mailboxes, they just keep it at Commons and you have to go and sign it off.

Sometimes though things aren't kept on campus and you have to pick them up at the nearest postal center, which is the shoppers in westdale.

Not sure why this is, but it's happened to me...twice.

Agreed. I (being a person living off-campus) have had to go to Titles to pick up parcels before.

I've already picked it up from commons. I got an email saying "you have a package". I looked down and nodded in agreement, but decided to check out the email anyway, and it told me that my hard drive is actually here.
