Repeat Biochem 2EE3 or Take another Biochem
Hi Guys
I took biochem 2EE3 before but didn't do as well as I wanted to. Do you think it's advisable to redo it or take another upper level biochem and try to do well on that?
Thanks in advance!

If you do end up retaking the course, don't forget that the course only counts once towards your degree so you would have to make up the 3 units some other time, either through summer school or overloading.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean. Do you mean to say that if I redo the course It won't be considered an extra credit? if so, that's okay. But my main problem is what graduate schools would prefer. I didn't fail biochem 2EE3 so I'm wondering if it's beneficial to redo it again or just take another biochem like 3G03 and hope schools will look at that.

You need 120 credits for your degree, so taking 2X Biochem 2EE3 doesn't equal 6 of those, it would only count as 3 units. So you would have to take another course to work towards your 120 credits (i.e. overload during one of the terms or take an extra course in the summer.) Personally, I think it's a waste of time to repeat Biochem 2EE3, and I would suggest doing another Biochem instead, if you just need any biochem course.

Also, if you redo it, you will only get 3 units out of it, and your mark will be averaged between the first and second time you take the course. Repeating the course won't erase or replace the first time taking it.

But keep in mind that Biochem 2EE3 is considered the easiest biochemistry course offered

Thank you guys. I think it would be beneficial for me to take an upper 3rd year biochem course. I just hope I'll be able to get a seat as their all full. *crosses fingers*
