The Return of Titbird?
I was just walking out of MuSC when I noticed a gold statue in the courtyard behind Togo Salmon. At first glance it was just some stupid statue. Then I realized it was Titbird! The mysterious statue that either got stolen or removed.

So is this the original? or did they replace the original?

....or was it all in my head?

its the part right behind Togo Salmon ( and by behind, I mean the part that faces towards MuSC) and there is a drop down to a courtyard where there is a large pillar that has the titbird on it. Though the titbird looks a little different than the one shown in the Eng Handbook

this would be due to the fact that the picture in the eng handbook is actually a miniature model. the real one was stolen in march of 1982 and for some reason there is now a new bird :S. We know for a fact that it was not there at the beginning of the year. maybe its a prank?

It's not the real titbird....it's the baby that's flown back. At least that's what I've been told. The original is much larger

the original is about 16' i'm told. there was a paperweight of it in the MES office but thats gone too now.
this is a replication. let's call it... a homage

Some say the titbird has lost weight. others say it's its child. we'll never know.

Go take a look before it flies away again!

if you never heard of the titbird/are an artsie: go look it up! I think the original name was "chimeric figure"

after much searching i found an original picture of the thing back before it was stolen! ive attached it here.

it is definitely bigger than the new one which looks like its either the plump baby or a prank. either way, hail godly titbird spawn.

It's still there

That one was originally created as a prize for the best kipling pranks back in '86 or so.
