I may not have agreed with all his political viewpoints, however he was a true fighter and deserves the utmost respect.

RIP Jack

My grandfather in his last days fighting the battle against cancer looked very similar to Mr. Layton, it is with regret that I say im not surprised he passed away. RIP.

God damn, that sucks. He was a nice political leader even though I didn't agree with his entire platform for the election campaigns. He was a nice guy nonetheless, R.I.P. Jack.

Although it clearly wasn't his ultimate goal, it's nice to think that he was able to accomplish such an enormous feat for the NDP this past election. I don't know if any party will find another leader with the tremendous work ethic and skill this man had.

It's sad to see we lost such a respectable man who devoted so much of his life to Canada. RIP Jack Layton :(

I go to the US for the weekend, come back, go to sleep and roll out of bed at like 2 pm. I turn on CBC thinking "I wonder what I missed" and BOOM Jack Layton's gone. :( I had to go to another station to confirm it.

Too bad, he was too young to go. I didn't agree with him politically, but personally he seemed like a very decent, nice fellow. Canadian politics is going to be missing something for a long time.
