Info to fix audio jack?
Here is the scenario.

Past few days, my audio system has been buggy on my G60 asus laptop. after using headphones, the computer fails to recognize the headphones are out. iv done some research and it seems other people are experiencing it too and it is a pin issue inside the audio jack. after doing some unplugging/plugging the pin popped back, but we all know university life without headphones is impossible, thus the problem persisted again. Not wanting to send the laptop for repairs (next best option is to buy some speakers.. lol), whats the best alternative to get the pin out. Is there any lubricant that can be applied to the headphone jack that might reduce the friction on the pin

If your eng, and the laptop is out of warranty, take on the "Self-Repair Manifesto", take that SOB apart, and fix the pin. Otherwise a dac is a good idea

@rubicon iv researched the layout of the laptop and its kinda stuck to the motherboard so it would take too much effort/destroy my pc just for a pin

I have a G51 and the same thing happened to me. Only thing you can do is send it for repairs unless you want to risk losing your warranty =(
I think that their turnaround time will be quite short though since the location where they fix all the north american laptops is in markham. give them a call and ask for an estimate
