Pakistan is a relatively shady ally... compared to something like Britain or Canada.... I wouldn't be surprised if some govt officials were helping him. I wonder how much involvement Pakistan had in the operation - that will be quite telling.

How is that a stereotype? Pakistan doesn't exactly have a perfect track record in its relations to the US and dealings with Al-Qaeda.
