you can torrent the APK files on various websites, but your version of android will update through the free version through the market

you can also get SETCPU for free! (paid version) if you go onto xda forums and google around

Post a source, I can actually do what I said in front of you and show you that it won't brick. As I said, I did fiddle while it was flashing.

Even if you mess up flashing the boot.img, there are ways (soft ways) to flash it back properly.

What's a "wrong" type of ROM? What's wrong about it?

- Wrong radios: Comm. won't work
- Wrong partitions: No idea what would happen then but I'm guessing it'll throw an insufficient space error

What else classifies as a wrong type of ROM?

Umm...yes there is, for the Nexuses at least.

OP, I dunno about other methods but the official method says you'll have to give up your warranty and all your data presently on your phone will be erased.

That's why I'm saying not to do it since you don't really need this right now.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Infuse which did not make the list of Samsung phones getting ice cream sandwich. If I root my phone is there a possibility to get it?

thanks
