Same course but different class?

Same course but different class?
so i checked my time table and my first class on monday is math 1a03... my last class that same day is also math 1a03 but on a different room.
can anyone explain?

One of them is probably the core (lecture) and the other is likely your tutorial.

If you check one probably says CO1 or CO2 or some other number and one probably says TO1 OR TO2 etc..

Basically its a smaller sub-section of your class, in this case math. Probably 10-20 students meet in a smaller classroom and a TA (teaching assistant) goes over course material with you. I've never taken math so I'm not 100% sure how Math tutorials specifically work but generally the TA will help you with course material, go over concepts, answer questions etc. Its in addition to your lecture to help you understand the course material since the Professor can't possibly help every single student in a large class or answer every question to go through the same material multiple times so everyone gets it. There just isn't enough time.

A tutorial is different depending on the course. for math, it is basically a review of material you learned the in the lectures the previous week

tutorial for math 1a03 when i took it last year had about 50 or 60 students and there was a TA who went through a bunch of examples from the more difficult topics and answered questions. they would also give you a couple of hints for the exams.
