Save Our Air! Volunteer with The Lung Association
I’m leading a project with the Lung Association (Hamilton, Ontario office) and I’m looking for some creative volunteers. What you’d be doing includes promoting awareness of indoor and outdoor air pollution, as well as raising funds for research. It’s a great cause, especially because air pollution affects the way we breathe. The project will be designed and led by youth, with the primary audience being youth.

I need 4-5 volunteers between 16 & 20 years of age, and the time commitment is approximately 5 hours a week. The project will last 6 weeks and the start date is this week/next week. If you’d like to help out, or know others that would be interested in helping out, please pass this on to them.

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in the environment, anyone that has or knows someone with asthma or emphysema, people that are physically active outdoors, and those interested in fundraising for a charity.

Please view the attachment for more information.

Whats the time demand? Because I work full time this summer and taking summer school. Would you be needing people during the day or the evening?

The demand is approximately 5 hours a week for 6 weeks (starting next week). We will be meeting on weekends for the most part. As for the time of day, at this point that is undecided. I've just been narrowing down the actual days people can come in. Odds are, since the weekend is preferred, it will be during the day.

E-mail, call, or post here if you have any more questions or concerns.

Hey, we no longer need volunteers.

Thanks to all those that inquired about the project.
