schedule 11 and tax related stuff
I know this is the wrong forum and a copy of the same thread, but my original post did not show up on the homepage. Sorry Mods! Pls dont crush me!
any way...
Hey guys, just have a couple of qs with regards to some tax related stuff.
I received a mail from the CRA saying that they wanted the T2202A certificates and schedule 11. I got the T2202A papers but couldn't find schedule 11 any where on MUGSI. Does any one know what it is and where I could find it? I figured they might be the same thing.
Also which office should i go to clarify some issues regarding the T2202A, coz still says im in level 1?
Thnx in advance.
Jon

Isn't schedule 11 / T1 just the information related to all your textbook, and other education expenses? Sounds the same as the T2202A

schedule 11 is one of the forms you fill out when doing your taxes, no?
Aren't they all called Schedule 1, Schedule 2, etc?

HEY, I got one of these too. I went to student accounts and cashiers and the lady there just looked over the paper briefly and only gave me the T2022A form, nothing else. She said I should call canada revenue to ask them what it is I need to send though. I'm planning on calling them tomorrow, so if they tell me, I'll post here. if you find out anything new, let me know please~
also, quick google search says this is schedule 11:

Yeah if you didn't fill that out and send it in while doing your taxes, you need to do that. It says at the top of the page to send it in with your return. If you did send it in, then I'm not sure why they want it again.

Update:
When I called, the woman at Canada Revenue told me that all they needed was the T2022A, and a typed statement saying that I didn't get reimbursed by an employer/union/organization for my tuition. Nothing else. If you're still not sure, definetly call them and ask what you specifically need to send in! took only a second to get connected.

i just got this tax stuff last week.
i have a copy of the schedule 11 and the t2202A, which is required for submission.
im confused about one thing? do i have to write a written consent saying that i didn't get any money for my tuition from other sources? should this part be included for sure or is it optional?

Did you at least save the receipts? That's the only other way. The GO monthly passes are meant to be used as a substitute for the receipts.

I think what you need to write in the written statement varies from person to person depending on what your situation is; like if you transferred money to someone else or something. call the toll free number on the letter and ask them!
