Scholarships Awarded: Check MUGSI

From the undergraduate course calendar:

University Senate Scholarship
Awarded to in-course students, by Faculty, with a full-time (24 units or more) average of at least 9.5. Quotas are established each year and award winners would be in the top 10-15% of your Faculty.

Log-on to MUGSI and check the "Scholarship and Awards" section to see if you've been awarded and/or are being considered for scholarships.

Note: It would be great if people being considered for other scholarships could also confirm that they have been awarded.

To Incoming First Years:

The scholarship amount is now available on the Payment Agreement on MUGSI. Due to this change, you must re-confirm your payment agreement and look at the reduced amount you now need to pay

Also, at this time, it is recommended that you update your Social Insurance Number on your account as well.

i think the scholarships were taken into account before it showed up. The amount I need to pay is the same.. do i still need to reconfirm?

I doubt it's awarded to everyone in the top 10-15%, that's too many people. They probably just pick randomally.

Hmm weird. Cuz for first years, it was supposed to show at the beginning of August! You have to check the box beside the scholarship and re-confirm, in order for it to change.

i checked my scj\holarship box and my balance forward changed.

but the transcipt notation, what does that mean, i know it says there but i want to make sure

now my owing is $0. ? lol

If there is any extra money in your student account, they will mail you a cheque.

I think they mail it automatically. Not sure when they do it, but last year after I got my bursary I got the cheque 2 weeks after I saw the money in my student account.
