second year
Hello,
I have a question regarding second year honours life sciences... I am not too sure what course would be ideal to take in order to lessen my course load for first term (considering i have organic chemistry and such). What course would you suggest? thanks!

If you consider yourself to be a creative person, then ASTRON 2B03 might be a good one. It's a pretty easy course with minimal course work; the only requirement to get a good mark (anything >9) is artistic creativity in the presentation and poster you make at the end.

Astron 2B03 is actually one of my favourite courses although I wouldn't say you need to be creative.. It kind of depends on your TA (Who marks your journals and presentation). As long as your TA is fair (I only heard of one bad one) you will be fine, it's an easy and extremely interesting course.
You could take micro econ if you haven't already.. or if you want a bio course, bio 2D03 was very light workload. I think there's also another easy second year life sci course but I forget the course code, 2A03 or 2H03 maybe?

In Life Sci II you really don't have any courses that are course load heavy...

Might have been my TA (who was indeed a prick). He gave almost all the presentations less than 70%. I remember at the time I took this course though (2009), a lot of people were complaining about getting owned on the presentations.
I think the prof was trying to get this course off of the unofficial 'list' of known bird courses that year.

I would say that the presentation was marked hardest but I felt my TA was very fair. He gave almost everyone perfect for participation, and journals he gave 8/10 unless you didn't try at all.
I took the course Fall 2011 with Parker and her tests were very straightforward. A bad TA can screw you over though.

would you recommend taking bio 2d03 over astron 2b03, or vice versa?

^ I have the same question, I'm trying to decide between astron 2b03 or bio 2d03 because they conflict with each other right now.
Also has anyone heard anything about earth sci 2WW2?

I think it's the same as Psych 2TT3 but it has a different course code. 2TT3 was a pretty easy course with Beston. Evening class which he usually lets out early, easy concepts, fair tests.
