Sectioning Conflict present when there shouldn't be?
Hey guys, so:

MATH 1AA3 2D Sectioning conflict - Tutorial
MATH 1AA3 2D Sectioning conflict - Core

Is a problem I have on my MUGSI. The weird thing is, on the Master Timetable, Math 1AA3 can be taken with 2 cores, both of which have 3 classes/week. All 6 of these classes are currently free on my term 2 timetable, meaning I should be able to take either of those cores without problem. Out of the two tutorials, I'm free for one of them. How does this make any sense? It's like MUGSI just doesn't want me in the class - at the current time it's not present on my timetable, meaning it looks just like I'm taking 4 courses second term. Lovely. This, coupled with the fact that I have essentially 10 hours straight of class first term Wednesdays, only because English was full, is making me rage.

But one "problem" at a time,
For those of you who have had sectioning conflicts before, what do you do to fix it? Especially when it seems like either of the cores I put should work...what should I try to do when SOLAR opens up for editing again?

EDIT: Second problem, who do you email for, say, asking to have a spot opened up for in a certain class? In this case, English 1A03.

Thanks

GG: First things first, English department.
Secondly, yeah I think SOLAR's just ...screwed, for lack of a better term (get it, term?). My Chem Bio inquiry class is 9:30 to 11:20 on Thursdays when the MTT states it's only one hour. Have you registered for Math 1AA3? (Check Degree Audit) If you're in it, then I'd just wait for them to get this bug sorted out. If not, email the Math department ASAP. It's probably a SOLAR/MUGSI error and they'll have to sort it out, not you

Is it just me or are tutorials not always present in the schedule already? I thought they do the schedule for you, for you to change. In this case, I'm missing two tutorials in term 1 and a full course from term 2. Nice.

Yeah I'm missing one from Term 2 (Bio 2B03). However, it reminds me that "the student needs to select a tutorial for Bio 2A03" which A. Has no tutorials B. Already has a lab selected.
