Based on what I've heard so far with other programs, that's exactly what you do. Keeping in mind that you might not be able to get into certain courses (not too sure if this also applies for Life Sci). Just ensure you take as many of the required second-year courses for the program, and re-apply for Life Sci in 3rd year.

If the reason why you can't get into certain courses is because of program requirements then you might be able to get in if you contact the department and explain your situation.

Just remember to look at requirements now because it takes time to contact and to get a waiver. If you do it later the class might be full.

So I should be good if i take all the life science 2 requirements?

Or should I contact someone ahead of time before selecting the courses?

Do you meet all the requirements for the courses you wish to take?

Look at the prerequisite section under each course and it should tell you what you need.
