No, it's not only for graduate students. They may be confused, as its RUN by the Graduate Students Association...

You are allowed in if you are underage as long as it's before 7pm

Also, they have a couple good things there, it's mainly pub food though, so nacho's, wings, etc.

Yea, this isn't true. Although it was built for grad students, pretty much anyone can go in. If your under the drinking age you can still eat there, but not consume alcohol. It's like boston pizza, if you're under 19 they'll still let you in of course. Great place to hang out and have a good time with friends. Compared to 1280 I think the Phoenix is better. =]

Phoenix is way better than 1280... better food, more choices, way better atmosphere. Tell your friends their wrong and head over there... you'll never go back lol

Love the Pheonix. I've only had their fries, which were really good. Everything seems pretty reasonably priced too.

You can't stay later than 7 unless you have ID.

Love their sweet potato fries. On par with Bridges and they give you a great dipping sauce to go with it.

Great food at the Phoenix. Stay away from the brownies though.
