Snow Day! McMaster University Closed Today

 
McMaster closed Wednesday Feb. 2 due to storm (announced 4:20 am)

February 02, 2011

Please be advised that McMaster University is closed Wednesday, Feb. 2, due to a winter storm.

MSU ELECTIONS: In the Event of a Winter Storm, the MSU Presidential Election and Referenda Will Continue, with Voting Extended to Friday, February 4th. Click here for more details.

When the University is closed, classes are not held, meetings and other scheduled events are cancelled and all areas and operations not defined as essential are closed. Examinations are cancelled and rescheduled. Deadlines for student assignments and other submissions due on a closed day are postponed until the same hour on the next academic day that the University is not closed.

Does anyone know if busses are running? I need to go to McMaster for something.

depending on where you live in the city, there are different garbage collection days. so if you normally have your garbage collected on a wednesday, it will be postponed until saturday. it goes by zones.

q- are libraries open
- are food places on campus open
- is dbac/rec/pulse open

and finally sweet no chem lab, but then what happens does it get moved to next week or something?

tells what places have to stay open (under 'essential services') - it mentions that food places (i'd think commons) have to stay open for the people in res...not sure if that extends to the student center and such though.
the library website still has hours up for feb 2, but that could just be because no one has updated it yet...

I can see buses from my window running. Main streets are prob plowed, but it doesn't look llike side streets are

I have an assignment due in lecture at 7 tonight. If the policy is that I hand it in at the same hour the next day, do I hand it in to the department at 7 tomorrow night?
