Snow Days
I have an exam on Monday night and I was just wondering, with this big storm heading our way and everything, what the University usually does when the weather is really bad out? Do they cancel classes for the entire day or just for a little while?

It all depends. Last year we had two full snow days, and some evening classes cancelled. The two years previous we had no classes cancelled due to weather, or any snow days.

The storm is supposed to be over by tonite, so it is unlikely that your evening exam will be cancelled, as they will have had lots of time to clear the roads.

Usually schools close if the pathways around campus are icy, or if it's freezing rain. This is because the risk of slipping/injury increases.

If it's still snowing on Monday, but the roads are clear, then it'll probably stay open.
