Soccer Team and Class Time.
Hey,

I'm planning on playing on the McMaster soccer team and the coach requested that we don't select any classes on tues to thurs from 3.30 to 5.30.

This is a bit of a problem because a few of my courses (for example Multimedia 1A03) is offered only during Term 1(Soccer season) and on monday and thursday from 3.30 to 4.20

Also another problem I have is that Mcmaster may give me a core class which conflicts because they are unaware of the soccer sced.

Any suggestions would be great
Thanks.

Well, you're going to have to talk to the coach. If these courses are required, and in what you want to major in you have to attend. So either the two of you will need to work something out, or you will have to try out for varsity in your second year.

hey i'm in second year and i play varsity volleyball so i understand all your questions and difficulties.
first off - solar/mac in general does not look at varsity scheduling and therefore does not plan around any sport's events.

the biggest thing is choosing electives that dont interfere with team time, and same with labs. tutorials aren't bad (unless they're mandatory) because you can always drop by another tutorial time..
the classes mandatory for your program your coach has to except because you are a student athlete, key word STUDENT. i had two classes interfering with practise time last term but they were classes mandatory for my level I program and they were only offered at one time, so my coach had to accept that.
