Hey! I did the same thing you did, a year of sociology then switched into the social work program third year. You won't know your grade for the SWAT as it's part of the confidential admissions process, so there is no average, but when you write it you do get a rubric you know what you are looking for. It essentially examines personal suitability for the program, there are three essay format questions about 750 words each. The test changes from year to year. When I wrote it I had to give my perspective on the issue of poverty and examine what social workers could do to help, talk about why I want to be a social worker, analyze the school's mission statement, then I was presented a case study and talk about what I would do to help the person. It's graded by a faculty member and an upper year student.
To book the test, fill out this form and go to the third floor of KTH room 319 (office right across from the elevators) and give it to Lorna O'Connell in the social work office by March 1st
