sociology 1a06 to social work?
How difficult is the Social Work Test (for admission to BSW program) if you've only taken sociology 1a06 and not the introduction for social work? The people I know of in the program have taken either social work 1a06 or both social work and sociology. I personally have just taken sociology 1a06 and I was wondering if I would be at any disadvantage? I understand that the test isn't something you can study for but everyone says relate things to anti-oppression in the test but I didn't learn about that in my soc class... any advice? Thanks!

IThe best thing to do would be to familiarize yourself with Anti-oppressive practice. There is a book for under $10 in titles called AOP terms. Its a glossery of common terms used in AOP, really helpful. I only took sociology as well, the best way to prepare for the test is some familiarity with AOP, but also just general interest knowledge and commitment to the ideas of social justice.
