Solar unavailable until Aug. 13
Hey, I was wondering if anyone else got this when they tried to get into solar:
Based on your current Registration and Payment Agreement status, you are not eligible to use SOLAR at this time. SOLAR will be available to you as of AUG 13 2008
Is there anyone we can contact about this? Or anything we can do? Because I'm leaving the country today and I need to fix my timetable.

Hey,
I can't find the exact date on the Registrar's website, but I believe that if you didn't complete the payment agreement by July 29 ish then SOLAR will re-open for you on Wednesday. :(

I'm getting the same thing. And I did confirm my payment agreement, so I don't understand why its saying that.
And then when I go into the Payment Agreement, before I can confirm it again, it says "System Overload" and boots me out of Solar.

This scares me since I've looked at my payment agreement a few times instead of printing it off, and everytime I have to press confirm to leave... or else it says I haven't confirmed my PA at all.

The Registrar's website says:
Monday, August 11
SOLAR re-opens for those students previously registered
and fees cleared
Wednesday, August 13
SOLAR re-opens for those students previously registered
Thursday, August 14
SOLAR re-opens for all students
The Payment Agreement needed to be accepted before the end of July in order for you to be able to get into SOLAR on the 11th. Otherwise you have to wait until the 13th.
IF YOU RE-CONFIRMED YOUR PAYMENT AGREEMENT LATER, THEN THE DATE GETS RESET TO WHEN YOU RE-CONFIRMED IT. So unfortunately if you re-confirmed later in August, it looks like you're stuck until the 13th to get back in.

Wish I had known that before. So much for re-confirming it last night after going in and making sure it was done and ready for today.
Hopefully I'll still be able to get out of all my stupid 8:30 and 9:30 classes on Wednesday.

Hi,
Would it be possible to change or modify courses for term 2 in December? I have conflicts in my term 2 schedule right now but unless spots in one course open up, I'm a bit stuck. Would it be possible for me to go through this process again in December, if I'm not able to make the changes now?

i talked to student financial office and for those who reconfirmed after august 8th, the manager is coming in to fix the problem so that it looks at the earliest date confirmed. they dont know when they'll get there or fix it though . i hate mcmaster for this.
