Will I still get a Bursary if most of my fees are paid by OSAP and scholarships?
My family's income is very very low and I received a large amount OSAP this year because of it. On top of that I received a scholarship. The fees I have left after first OSAP payment combined with scholarship are only $4423.23 (from a 16311 total) and I still have another $6200 left of OSAP money to be given to me in second payment. Will I still get a bursary even if I have received a large amount of OSAP that exceeds how much I needed?

Any one who is a OSAP recipient can apply for a bursary.

Unless they changed it, anyone can actually apply for a bursary but if you applied for OSAP and didn't get funding then your chances of getting a bursary are very very low. But not everyone applies to OSAP, meaning not everyone lives in Ontario, but may qualify for a bursary based on financial need. You just have to fill out a longer form.

You should surely apply for bursary as people mentioned above.

Most probably you will get SOMETHING resonable.

Do apply because something is always better than nothing

Cheers

Most people who apply get between $800-$1200 in bursaries, which comes in useful around that time...:.)
