my parents are visiting tomorrow...I hope the strike does not continue. Anyone know of what enterence they can come in from and not be blocked by the picket line. Also is there free parking on campus? I don't think it is right that my parents should have to pay for parking to visit me-last year the parking lot across from TSH used to be free now they put the gates up.

I hope it doesn't either.... If there is, expect like a huge delay... From what I know, they actually block all the entrances... The one at Cootes and the one at Sterling... The only one that's not blocked by the pickets is the one outside of the Hospital beside T-13.. BUT security are somehow blocking cars from entering there as well.... Hard to get in, easy to get out.....

And as for free parking.... How about outside of McKay? I'm not sure, but they were free last year.. At least for a visit's time...... Now it seems like parking anywhere in the campus costs....... It's $5 for weekends on campus...

Yeah it sucks that your parents have to pay for parking to visit you considering how much money you already paid to the University to live in residence. I lived in residence first and second year before the gates went up on parking lots so my parents never had to pay to park. Last year when the gates did go up I lived in Whidden so when my parents visited and needed to park (most of the time they just picked me up and took me out) they tried to get one of the spots near Commons/McKay. Usually at least one would be free, this is only feasible if you live in North Quad though obviously. Also the parking lots near Hedden and Les Prince, (not the one with the gates closet to TSH), I don't think they have parking gates on them, do they? I'm not 100% sure on this but maybe check around those two areas, even it says parking for permit holders on the weekend it could be a good option for parents since all the permit holders aren't likely to be around.

I had a midterm at 9 this morning..
But the prof said the strike continues on Saturday as well and expect delays if we travel by car.

Result:
I was at school at about 6:45AM...........
Then when I came out from my midterm...

I went to school today (Saturday), and there was no picketing; however, buses are still not going into campus. Fail. >.>
