Student ID "uh oh"
well I move in tomorrow, and working 6 days a week all summer you tend to forget things... the thing I forgot was to send in my student ID form. I know I know, stupid me. I presume i'll still be able to get my ID when I get there, but I wonder what kind of consequences that will give me for the first little while (aside from the long wait for the ID) ?

1. Don't forget to bring TWO passport sized photo IDs just incase the registrar isn't taking photos for the McMaster ID cards (They usually have the cameras set up in August, but I don't know about September).

2. The card might not be printed on the spot so you would have to wait. I know when I took my picture in August 2 years ago they sent me my card via mail. If that's the case you will need to ask them for a temporary ID card in order to get into residence after 9pm (or it might be 8pm). The temporary card could cost you (you have to pay for it during exams if you forget your ID).

On a slighly unrelated note, I just got my student ID sticker and under the 2010/2011 part my sticker reads:
U-FT/PA
What does this mean? My old sticker says UG/FT...

Ok, thanks. I was just wondering if I was going to be stuck having to buy my meals until my card was ready. Also, thank you for the after 9pm tip.

U-FT is Undegraduate Full Time. I forgot what PA means, but it actually refers to something you are not. But the services and other things you get with your MacID is the same for both titles. It's basically just a way McMaster can save money since they only have to print 1 type of sticker instead of 2.
