Studying maths outside of class
I've decided to go into maths next year (second year), and I've taken all the required courses, 1AA3, 1A03, 1B03, etc. And I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to study mathematics outside of class. I'm interested in understanding theory, but I'm having a little trouble approaching it... I understand that it may take a little more basic knowledge (ie. algebra, etc.) before I can attempt these, but does anyone have a way to get a brief romance with these subjects? Particular interests include:

- Graph theory
- Group theory
- Model theory and logic
- Galois theory
- Adv. Calculus (which I'll be taking next year; 2X03/X3)
- Analysis of all kinds

I'm also wondering if anyone is open to answering some questions I have about upper year math courses, including those about what courses I should take, what courses are needed for other courses, and what courses are worth taking. Thanks in advance for all the replies you lovely people! Hope your summer is going great!

You could talk to your math prof, he should tell you what to read and what courses to take.
