The test is pretty easy, you don't need to study before hand, your score determines what tutorial you will be put into.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that's just a myth. The overall performance of the students on the test just gives profs an idea of what area to focus on more. In my year, they pretty much just ended up reviewing grade 12 math for half the semester, b/c we all failed pretty badly :S

It used to be for tutorial sections in my year and back, but they've changed it now, since you already know your tutorials in your schedule!

It's to see if they have to modify the 1st year math course in upcoming years, like they did this past year with 1N03/NN3 becoming 1Z04/ZZ5

Just try your best. And ill give you advice an upper year gave me last year: don't study!

The test is just to test your current knowledge out of highschool, not to be graded

Sorry Dumb question: When you say we know our tutorials in our schedule, are you referring to math tutorials? or other course tutorials? because I dont see any math tutorials in my timetable.

Hmm yeah. 1Z04 and 1ZZ5 dont have tutorial sections..

It will be pretty clear where you have to go to write the test. Just wake up in time for it!

Don't feel bad if you feel kind of overwhelmed by the test. It starts off really easy, and then kind of gets hard (i.e. they start testing you on stuff you probably haven't learned yet to see how far your high school went).

I know they say don't study for it, but it helps if you at least try to review some calculus from high school :p. Some people walked in there completely forgetting how to find the derivative of Y = X^2....

Will advanced topics like implicit differentiation, integral calculus, etc. be included in the test?

Actually, I believe that's stuff you're already supposed to know. Maybe they've changed the curriculum since my time, but I know I learned that in Grade 12 Calculus.
