taking two maths in a term?
Is taking MATH 1F03 and MATH 1M03 do-able in one term or would the work load be too much?

it depends on how much work you are willing to put in. but I think it should definitely be doable since the classes will kind of go hand in hand. you will already be in that 'math mood' so taking both at once should not be difficult. if you ever did need help though you could always go to the math help centre

Yeah, I've got a couple of maths each semester too - I'm predicting that 2C03 will be the most work, damn applied math. I find that maths aren't really that much work - it's just understanding the concepts (unless it's applied math, when methods are very important), which shouldn't be too tough in 1F03 or 1M03.

Isn't math 1F03 a prerequisite for 1M03? Unless you've already taken gr12 calc/vectors or the old gr12 functions/calc course...and if you've taken calc/vectors you can't take 1F03.
Normally, two maths in one term would be fine...but if one is a prereq for the other, you might run into issues.

Think of it this way:
a) Math majors do worse stuff than this, and they're still around
b) First year courses
Should be fine if you work hard/stay on top.

I would have forgotten about still being around had you not posted, so on second thought - stay away from too many maths in a semester

Wow... non-engineering math must be pretty different.

See, math can be a lot of work - it depends on how you approach it. That said, I don't know if engineering math would be that different from the math 'thedog123123' took, assuming that he stuck to the math needed for physics and didn't go any further...

Honestly I would say that two Humanities/essay based courses would be harder for me to handle than two maths.

Haha, my year is pretty much divided between humanities courses and maths...and the occasional bio.
