Hello everyone!

We are seeking feedback and ideas for the launch of the new MacInsiders.com coming out at the end of December for the new year.

What would you like to see improved on the site? What features do you think we should work on building for the new year? Are there any sections of MacInsiders you want to see removed?

The MacInsiders exec have some very interesting concepts that will be rolled out for 2007 that you can definately look forward to (we can't disclose them yet!), but we don't want to be making all the decisions for the new site, this is your chance to tell us what you want! Reply to this thread with ideas and we will discuss them at our next exec meeting, deciding which features to implement.

Remember, the goal of MacInsiders is to inform students, to let you know about ways of getting involved, encouraging interaction with other students, and promoting student leadership. Anything that helps to further our vision will be considered!

The top ideas will be put to a member vote before the new year and the winner will recieve an MacInsiders '07 Prize Package valued at over $50!

It would be nice for students to be able to contribute to the site more.... maybe with some sort of student blogging feature? i remember using livejournal alot in highschool. Would be nice to have something like that to see what other students are talking about

How about something that shows concerts that are happening around hamilton?

I think the site is sweet as it is right now. Whats in the prize package?

maybe a chat would be nice or more games in the arcade

I come here to look at the calendar to see whats on, can you guys add an RSVP thing like facebook?

anything like facebook would be cool. I dont like Facebook anymore because of how they made it all public so now anyone can stalk me which is stupid

Hi everyone! Just got the e-mail about this contest I think it is a brilliant idea

Being a big fan of myspace I would like to be able to make my profile look fancy and less boring like it is right now

Thanks guys for some of your ideas. We are definately looking into the blogging aspect for users to post in their profile blog-style. We're also adding a lot more functionality to the editing of profiles to let you customize the look of it to match your personal taste

RSVP for calendar is already a feature being added this month so look out for it!

MacInsiders 2007 is just around the corner... and there are a lot of great new things to look forward to! All your ideas have been included and we're going to be launching some new sections for news that include news around Hamilton and off-campus!
