Summer jobs on campus
Hello

I am a second year student, and was wondering, how to find and apply for summer jobs on campus? Do I have to have applied for OSAP?? How does it all work? Is OSCAR the way I do this? Please, someone, help me out. Thanks.

You can apply through OscarPlus, but they won't be up until early March I think.

You can get OscarPlus McWork jobs only if you have received OSAP. If you haven't received OSAP and still want to apply for the job, go to the financial aid office... I think there is some form you can fill out to request to be eligible for McWork jobs.

If you're interested, I know the athletic centre is hiring and their applications came out just over a week ago and extend till March!

The McWork/WorkStudy jobs go up on OscarPLUS at the beginning of March, but you need to be approved for them before you can apply.

If you receive OSAP:
Go to MUGSI -> My Financial Aid and Scholarships -> Work Program Application Form

If you don't receive OSAP:
Go to Financial Aid Office -> Ask for Budget Information form to fill out since you want to apply for McWork but don't receive OSAP.

There also might be some non-McWork jobs on the MSU site, the Athletics site, and OscarPLUS:

http://msumcmaster.ca/jobs/msujobs/c...tunities. htm

To be honest, there aren't as many on-campus jobs as you'd think there would be. :/ Good luck!

Another great place to look for job postings is at your department - i know that the history department has a board near the couches that post job opportunities

Almost all jobs on McWork are on campus but not absolutely every single one is. Just take a look, there are tons

One summer, I wanted to work on campus and they wouldn't approve me because I didn't get OSAP. I'm still bitter about that. =O

wait for the approved work form, we need to get it signed by the office? i thought we just go onto mugsi, copy and paste the unfilled information into a word doc, save that, and just submit that with our resume/cover letter.

No. You need to have it approved and have your parents tax information given to them and all of that.
